Ms. Susman speaks with MSP stakeholders (including attorneys, claims executives and legislators) about compliance every day and is very familiar with the concerns, confusion and complaints they have with respect to the MSP, as well as industry perceptions around various solutions.
Prior to her involvement with IFS and Providio, Ms. Susman served as Senior Vice President Corporate Development and General Counsel at Denver-based IQNavigator, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand services procurement software and managed service programs. From 1996-2000, Ms. Susman was an attorney in the corporate business group at Denver-based Holland & Hart, LLP. Gary was Providio’s first sales team hire in 2012 and focuses on both the mass tort and single event sectors. He frequently leads seminars and training sessions on the topics of lien-resolution strategies, post-settlement administration solutions, claims expense control, and implementation of MSP compliance protocols for law firms, TPAs, self-insureds, captives, and casualty insurance carriers.
Gary holds both an Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) designation and an Advisor in Risk Management (ARM) designation. His advanced knowledge of workers' compensation, alternative risk financing, and claims management allows him to keenly understand the needs and objectives of the parties to personal injury settlements.
Prior to joining Providio, Gary was a leading commercial insurance broker and managing surety director for Harden from 2007-2012 where, among other things, he developed and launched the firm’s surety bond division and designed/implemented training programs for other brokers/business development professionals at the firm.
