Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., in 2007 and was named managing partner of the Chicago office in 2017. He concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, and product liability.

Mr. Salvi has obtained many record-breaking jury verdicts on behalf of his clients. Since June 2014 alone, he has tried the following cases to verdict:
•paralyzed 24-year-old female
•boy who suffered a serious brain injury at birth
•30-year-old male who suffered a crush injury to his foot
•47-year-old female with spinal cord injury
•wrongful death of a 33-year-old single mother of an 8-year-old son
•20-year-old female with pelvic fractures
•44-year-old female with a neck injury
•wrongful death of a 44-year-old motorcyclist
•wrongful death of a 13-year-old boy killed by an ambulance.

Other verdicts rendered were for a young man paralyzed in a motor vehicle collision and another in a medical malpractice case on behalf of an infant who suffered a brain injury.

Mr. Salvi has also successfully obtained a number of multi-million-dollar settlements for clients in the last few years, including:
•a man left paralyzed after a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of a ruptured aneurysm •a man brain damaged after a failed routine trach exchange
•a war veteran who suffered a crush injury to his foot
•a woman left permanently blind after a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of a clot in her brain
•a woman injured in a car wreck
•an infant who suffered a brain injury at birth
•the wrongful death of a man who died during a blood transfusion
•an infant who suffered a brain injury at birth
•a child who suffered a brain injury at birth due to a delayed C-section
•a man injured after falling from a balcony (the largest porch collapse settlement in Illinois history)
•a woman brain damaged after a bariatric surgery.
In recognition for his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list since 2014, and was selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013. Since 2015, he has been named to the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Emerging Lawyers, an honor given to the top 2 percent of lawyers in Illinois who are age 40 or younger or have practiced 10 years or less.

He was ranked in the Top 10 for all Emerging Lawyers, regardless of practice specialty. Mr. Salvi has been named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America list every year since 2017. The list is considered to be among the most elite guides in the legal profession. Mr. Salvi was also recognized in the 2019 Edition of Best Lawyers in America in the field of Personal Injury Litigation.

Mr. Salvi has received many additional honors, including:

•The American Association for Justice’s 2018 Above and Beyond Award, which recognizes AAJ members who have made exceptional contributions to strengthen the organization

•The youngest member named to Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s 2011 “40 Under Forty” attorney list at the time

After he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Mr. Salvi earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. As a law school student, Mr. Salvi won an award for excellence in trial advocacy from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Salvi is a member of the American Association for Justice, where he sits on the Board of Governors and the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He is also an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, where he sits on the executive committee, is a co-chair of the publications committee, and a co-author of the Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook chapter on Informed Consent. He has been a judge at ABA and AAJ trial competitions, as well as ABA Moot Court competitions. In addition, Mr. Salvi holds memberships in the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Tort Law Committee.

Mr. Salvi is a board member of the LAF, an organization that provides free legal services to people living in poverty. He formerly served as a board chair and continues to support St. Agnes of Bohemia Elementary on the southwest side of Chicago. Mr. Salvi has also been a speaker at Kellogg’s School of Management’s MBA business law class and at Notre Dame Law School’s “Personal Injury Litigation” class.
